Back today with a review~
I went to walmart today and picked up maybelline's new BB Cream. It was $8.95 at my local Walmart and since BB Creams are all the rage right now, I wanted to give it a go for such an affordable price! :)
Let's start off with the packaging:
as you can see the packaging is super cute which is in line with their other "dream" products like the dream bouncy blush (: the tube is 30ml and it claims to be 8-in-1 which are:
1.creates natural glow
2.compliments skin tone
3.SPF30 UV protection
4.Hydrates all day ?
5.blurs imperfections ?
6.Oil free, non greasy
7.looks visibly smooth
8.feels fresh
OKAY so now on to the review, when I squeezed it out of the tube, I noticed that the consistancy was very thin and runny, below is a swatch :
you can see that it is a lot thinner than a foundation and maybe even more than my tinted moisturiser!
As I put it on my face, it was very easy to spread out although because it was so thin, the coverage is pretty light. Also, after I had it on for a while I noticed that it was a little dry on my face which is weird because I have oily combination skin.
I love that it has SPF 30 which is enough for a good 2 hours out in the sun and the colour blends naturally with my skin tone.
Oh I should mention that this BB Cream comes in 4 shades only, but then again most BB creams only come in 1 shade in Asia!!!
OVERALL I would rate this a 3.5/5, because while it does feel good on the skin, and it does have decent staying power and SPF, the coverage is worse than a tinted moisturiser and I found the formula to be too runny.
It is good for those lazy summer days when you don't really want to spend time on your face tho! :D Will def keep this in my cabinet !
