REVIEW and COMPARISON: Fairydrops Platinum Waterproof vs. Lancome Hypnose Waterproof Mascara! (W/ EYE SWATCHES!)

Long time no post! Im back today with a review and comparison of the Fairydrops Platinum WP mascara and my current HG Lancome Hypnose. I have been using the Hypnose for years and was never tempted to try any other mascaras until all the great things ive heard about fairydrops!! So Fairydrops is a japanese makeup brand and their mascaras apparently have fibres fused in so it makes your lashes appear much longer!!

SO lets get started with the review!! So first off the packaging is EXTREMELY ADORABLE. :

And not surprisingly,the mascara itself its gorgeous too, a shiny pink tube with white graphics :

and for the all important brush! It has an unique shape with three balls on the brush to catch all your lashes.

And its challenger today is the all mighty Lancome Hypnose WP mascara:

now lets do some swatches! Lets being with my bare eye :
I am an asian monolid with stick straight thin lashes ):

Application:

I think the pictures speak for themselves! both of them produced great results! I was very surprised with how easy the application was for the fairydrops mascara, the wand shape really helps grab every lash and there were NO CLUMPS at all! With the Lancome one, I noticed that it clumped up a bit more but after a few strokes it gave equally impressive results!

Curl Hold/Staying Power:

I wore both the mascaras for a day (one on each eye) and both of them lasted all day! I would actually say that the fairydrops did a bit better because my lashes felt so light and soft!

Removal:
At the end of the day, since both are WaterProof mascaras, a good make up remover is needed. What I do is put some makeup remover on a cotton round and pat it over my eye for a few seconds and wipe it away. It works great on waterproof eye makeup and takes only a few seconds!!

Conclusion:
Both mascaras are amazing and I think that the fairydrops one is definitely comparable to the lancome hypnose in quality and endurance. Fairydrops was half the price of the lancome though, so if you can get a hold of it where you live, definately try it out!!


P.S.Incase anyone was wondering, I use the Lancome BiFacil makeup remover and the Shu Uemura eyelash curler :)
